May 7 (Reuters) – The Tokyo Stock Exchange ended higher on Tuesday, in the wake of Wall Street, supported by the prospect of a Fed rate cut and the improvement in technology stocks

The Nikkei index gained 1.57% to 38,835.10 points. The broader Topix gained 0.65% to 2,746.22 points.
