The Société des Grands Projets (SGP) announced on Tuesday May 7 that it had entrusted the construction of the second eastern section of the future metro line 15 of the Grand Paris Express to a group of companies led by Bouygues Travaux Publics.

“The total amount of this contract amounts to

1.087 billion euros for an underground section going from Saint-Denis – Pleyel to Drancy – Bobigny station

whose commissioning is planned in

2031

“, indicated in a press release the SGP, formerly the Société du Grand Paris.

Within the Iris group of companies, Bouygues Travaux Publics will lead the part concerning the stations and tunnels, while Colas Rail has been mandated to oversee the systems and Egis the integrated project management.

This contract includes the design and construction of 8 kilometers of tunnel, 4 new stations (Stade de France, Mairie d’Aubervilliers, Fort d’Aubervilliers, Drancy – Bobigny), spaces dedicated to line 15 within the station Saint-Denis – Pleyel, 6 service structures and a tunnel structure.

675,000 Ile-de-France residents affected

“It makes it possible to finalize works for which the civil engineering has previously been carried out”, including the development of

2.5 km of tunnel

, the underground box of the Stade de France station and “3 service structures”, adds the press release. It also includes two “directly integrated” real estate projects at the Mairie d’Aubervilliers and Drancy – Bobigny stations.

“Ultimately,

line 15 East will significantly improve the mobility of 675,000 Ile-de-France residents and contribute to the attractiveness of this region

“, welcomed the Iris group in a separate press release.

“This section of metro, exclusively underground, fits into a very dense urban context and will extend over the municipalities of Saint-Ouen, Saint-Denis, Aubervilliers, Drancy and Bobigny,” underlines the group, which also has four offices of architects and “is committed to maintaining a close dialogue” with “communities, users and associations”.

The notification of this second section of the East line means that “from now on, all works contracts for line 15 East are awarded”, specifies the press release from the Société des Grands Projets.

“The last design-construction contract for line 15, concerning the 2nd section of line 15 West, from Courbevoie to Saint-Ouen, should be notified by summer 2024,” adds the SGP.
