«A little less than 20 billion“. This is the current element of language within the executive to designate the expected amount of “revenue measures” which will appear in the 2025 finance bill (PLF). The text, which will be presented next Thursday, will contain, according to announcements, a “budgetary effort” of 60 billion euros to straighten out the adrift public accounts. This envelope is divided between 40 billion from cuts in spending – savings – and 20 billion from increases in revenue, therefore tax increases. While the government is refining its budget, the list of tax measures is becoming clearer through the interventions of ministers and in the corridors of power.
