“Human capital is the heart and engine of digital transformation”

The Minister Delegate in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Ghita Mezzour said this Thursday, October 3 during a panel on “Human capital in the era of digital and artificial intelligence (AI )” as part of the second Conference on Cultural and Creative Industries (ICC), that human capital is the heart and driving force of digital transformation.

The minister thus underlined that “human capital is the real engine of digital”, emphasizing the importance of investing in skills to support this development.

Mezzour also highlighted advances in AI which offer considerable opportunities for job creation, improved productivity and competitiveness.

As part of the “Maroc Digital 2030” strategy, the Kingdom has set itself the objective of training 100,000 young people in digital professions by 2030, recalled Ms. Mezzour, referring to the launch of 144 new digital sectors, in partnership with the private sector, in 12 Moroccan public universities.

These sectors cover areas such as artificial intelligence, Blockchain and cybersecurity, she said.

Citing the “Jobintech” program, Ms. Mezzour stressed that it allows young science graduates to retrain for digital technology thanks to free training of three to six months, supported by technology giants who offer free certifications. .

In addition, the participants in this panel looked at the transformations, opportunities and challenges of the professional environment facing the development of AI, reviewing the evolution of skills, the impact of automation on employment and creativity as well as questions of ethics and rights to works.

They also highlighted the importance of leadership in order to better understand this transition and the exploitation of AI for effective regulation which contributes to the development of cultural and creative industries, emphasizing that these are essentially based on capital. human and its capacities for innovation and creation.

The panelists thus underlined that digital technology and AI are sometimes seen as essential tools to change the world, sometimes as a threat which risks destroying jobs and replacing human creation with that of machines.

Organized on October 2 and 3 under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI by the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication and the Federation of Cultural and Creative Industries of the CGEM, with the support of the Union European in Morocco, this 2e edition of the Conference of Cultural and Creative Industries allows us to think about the future of this dynamic sector, creator of wealth, jobs, emotions and meaning in the service of the influence of the Kingdom, while exploring new trends in governance , financing and digital transformation.

On the program for these Conferences, under the theme “Celebrating heritage, investing in progress”, there are five thematic panels focused on “innovative financing and crowdfunding”, “the experience of the place: tourism, culture and heritage”, “capital human in the digital and AI era” and “prospects for the cultural and creative industries”.
