After saving Metabolic Explorer, the owner of Lesieur and Puget is strengthening its position in plant chemistry in Brazil.

Avril continues its march forward. The French group (7.9 billion euros in turnover), known for its Lesieur and Puget oil brands, has just taken a majority stake in A.Azevedo Oleos, a Brazilian family SME specializing in castor oil for the cosmetics or automotive markets (lubricants, etc.). This, a few weeks after saving the Metabolic Explorer group (Metex), specialized in the production of fermented amino acids for animal nutrition, from disappearance. Carried out via its subsidiary Oleon, dedicated to the transformation of seeds into biochemical components for industry, agri-food or cosmetics, this acquisition will swell the ranks of the plant sector giant by 250 employees, and its turnover by 80 million.
