This is an announcement that will greatly delight users of the Paris-Lyon TGV line. The Italian company Trenitalia announced that during the summer holidays, from July 15 to August 11, a sixth daily round trip would strengthen the already existing offer.
Coping with demand for the Olympics
It is also a way for the company to prepare for the large crowds expected this summer in France for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. “The railway company Trenitalia intends to facilitate travel and meet the increased demand of travelers during this global event“, she wrote in a press release.
To take advantage of these new trains, the company advises not to wait too long, since tickets have been on sale since April 9 on the Trenitalia website.
Two and a half years after the launch of the line, the Italian company continues its offensive on the line between the French capital and the “capital of Gaul”. For the future, new lines are plannedaccording to Point : Paris-Geneva, Paris-Turin or even services to Montpellier or Marseille.
