TOURISM 38 destinations departing from airport this summer

Advertorial. -Mediterranean airport is resuming its progress with six line openings.

These six openings bring the number of destinations departing from Montpellier to 38 this summer. 38 destinations operated by 13 companies in 16 countries in and North Africa. From Corsica to Deauville, there are ten domestic destinations. In this year of the Olympics and the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings, this is a good thing.

Internationally, six new destinations are accessible directly. Transavia offers three new lines: Constantine (Algeria), Rabat (Morocco) and Istanbul (Turkey). Spain is the other flagship of the season, or more precisely the Balearic Islands. of the archipelago, the island of Majorca will be served by easyJet, while Minorca will be connected to Montpellier by Volotea. Oslo (Norway) returns from June to August with Norwegian.

Europe within reach of wings

For this summer or from the May holidays, ideas abound: London (with British Airways or easyJet), Frankfurt (Lufthansa), Copenhagen (Norwegian, SAS), Luxembourg (Luxair), Amsterdam (KLM), Rotterdam ( Transavia), Basel- (easyJet) or Oslo (Norwegian). These destinations, particularly London, Frankfurt and Amsterdam, offer connecting flights. For guaranteed (or almost) sunshine: Rome, Athens, Lisbon or Seville benefit from the return flight to Heraklion in Crete (all served by Transavia).

All the charms of North Africa

With 11 destinations in three countries, the other side of the Mediterranean has never been so close to Montpellier: Tunis (with Transavia); on the Algerian side, in addition to Constantine, which is new (with Transavia, in July and August), two other destinations are served all year round by Transavia and Air Algérie: Algiers and Oran. But it is Morocco which is in the lead with 7 destinations: Transavia is focusing on Marrakech, and is adding Rabat this summer. Casablanca is served by Royal Air Maroc and Air Arabia. Finally, Air Arabia also offers flights to Fez, Nador, Oujda and Tangier!
