(Ecofin Agency) – Between the campus dedicated to entrepreneurship in and the digital agriculture school in Ivory Coast, UM6P in Morocco is pursuing its internationalization policy by establishing itself in various regions around the world.

Mahamed IV Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Morocco has announced the launch of UM6P Canada, its new branch in Montreal, Canada. The first North American branch of the Moroccan school, its mission is to develop projects in four main areas, namely research and development, continuing education, entrepreneurship and capacity building.

“The aim of this branch is to create a globally connected research environment and to encourage collaborations that will accelerate capacity building and knowledge transfers between the two sides of the Atlantic,” specified the UM6P.

The activities of the UM6P Canadian campus will build on the partnerships that the university shares with several Canadian universities, such as Université , Université de Sherbrooke, the University of Alberta and the University of Manitoba. This collaboration will address topics related to global issues such as the energy transition, environmental sustainability and advances in artificial intelligence.

By establishing itself in Canada, the Moroccan university created in 2017 is continuing its internationalization. Last January, it announced the opening of a campus in France, its very first internationally. At the same time, it is preparing the launch of a digital agricultural school in Côte d’Ivoire.
