New books at the media library

Saint-Paulien. The Éditions du Roure association offers books to the media library. Last Thursday, the Émile Deribier media library welcomed the leaders of the Éditions du Roure association who offered it about fifteen books. This association perpetuates the memory of Georges Chanon, founder with his friend Lucien Peyret of this structure in 1977.

Librarian Pascale Blazy received Joëlle Chanon Réal, sister of the deceased and Christine Peyret who is the treasurer of the association. The female duo has invested in maintaining this cultural memory through various visits to book fairs, associations, media libraries and especially contacts with loyal booksellers who are the main buyers of books from a still large stock. The catalog can be consulted on the website, the oldest books of which date from the 1980s.

The fact of offering around fifteen works (on the Resistance, the castles of Domérat, Polignac and many others) to the Ruessienne media library demonstrates the vitality of the association which thus pursues the desire of the late Georges Chanon to continue the distribution of the collections of many authors.
