Drop in attendance, despite the cultural richness of the book fair

Around forty authors presented their works during the 8th Book Fair at the socio-cultural center.

Novels, comics, thrillers, children's books, thrillers, collections of poems, autobiographical stories allowed the public passionate about culture and reading to have a good time, to interact with the authors and even have their work signed.

The author Nicole Malassagne, a regular at the show, said: “I have always been fascinated by writing but between my very busy job as a French teacher, the children, the house, I didn't have the time, I often said I was retiring, so I started my first book at that time, but I wasn't satisfied with the result, I couldn't help but be too analytical, it seemed like I was correcting a copy, an opportunity, it was presented to me, I I worked for a while with a judge, this was a trigger, more analysis of what I wrote, giving free rein to my pen, today I have written eight works, and the 9th is in the process of being published, writing is a passion. “

No guest of honor this year

Huguette Sartre, departmental advisor, accompanied by Mr. Coulomb, first deputy and Mr. Zanone, security deputy, underlined: “This year there is no guest of honor, because you all deserve to be, this year, we have two new ones and a little Red Riding Hood. This day is an opportunity to meet and share around 'a passion, reading which allows everyone to give free rein to their imagination.

It’s an annual event to which we are very attached.”

A show which ended in mixed fashion, good quality and diversity in terms of authors, but a drop in attendance from the public.
