Since the arrivals of Seko Fofana and Brice Samba, it's the status quo at Stade Rennais during this January transfer window, at least in terms of arrivals. Indeed, in terms of departures this accelerated with the loans of Henrik Meister (Pisa), Albert Gronbaek (Southampton) and Baptiste Santamaria (OGC Nice). Departures which should allow the Breton club to accelerate on several issues.
Among the trails under study, there is in particular that leading to Batista Mendy. As revealed by Footmercato last week, Stade Rennais would like to be able to secure the services of the Trabzonspor midfielder. Discussions are underway between the various parties. However, the Turkish club seems inflexible: it's €15M or nothing!
Note that discussions would also concern two other players, but who this time play at Stade Rennais. Indeed, Trabzonspor would like to be able to recover Naouirou Ahamada (currently on loan from Crystal Palace), and would also have wanted to recruit Jota who has been in great difficulty since his arrival in Rennes last summer, and who does not fit into Jorge's plans Sampaoli for the second part of the season. However, the Jota file will be complicated to complete for Trabzonspor, since the Portuguese is in the process of making his return to Celtic Glasgow.
