Saturday January 25, volunteers from the Library for All will comment on around twenty recently published books, on the occasion of Reading Night 2025.
This animation will include a presentation of the author, the reasons why they liked these books, the main themes and a short summary of the novel, but without revealing the ending! The public will also be able to discuss these works. The meeting is open to all: members or non-members.
The chosen works are not yet on loan, to reserve the first for those who will attend this highlight. Each member of the public will receive a form to record their comments, and as Gérard Mallet, the manager, points out, « we are very happy to offer this animation and we are considering offering it a second time this year ».
A big place for thrillers
-With 3,000 books, 80 members and around ten librarians, the cultural venue offers, all year round, “a climate of conviviality, because we know almost all of our readers and their literary tastes. The new releases are available very quickly, with, I would like to point out, a large place given to thrillers (Maxime Chattam, Olivier Norek, Karine Giébel, etc.), i.e. 30% of our works,” underlines Gérard Mallet.
On the project side, a morning is planned in the spring on the Guérande market to explain what the Library for All is. There will also be clearance sales, gift cards, and a discussion regarding the presence of local authors.
Saturday January 25, 3 p.m., Bibliothèque pour tous, 19, boulevard Émile-Pourieux. FREE ENTRANCE. Contact. Facebook: Library for all Guérande.
