L'Escapade Buissonnière offers a whole day of creative workshops (for beginners and semi-beginners) around thread: embroidery, crochet and knitting, Saturday February 1, which will take place with an alternation of activities: meetings, demonstrations and presentations of Books around these themes. This day therefore sees the birth of the “From Wire to Books” festival.
On this occasion, the bookstore will welcome a yarn professional: La Cabriole mohair.
On the program for the day: 9:30 a.m. free breakfast for those registered for the workshops + presentation of books, open to all, around crochet, embroidery (Japanese, English and other) and knitting. 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. workshops upon registration: embroidery, crochet, knitting. A “Spanish inn” style lunch break is planned at 12:30 p.m., and a presentation of Asian literature, Victorian classics and feel-good novels (A story that provokes reflection on life or on oneself, in a tone and a style are often light), open to all.
At 2:30 p.m., morning workshops resume. At 4:30 p.m., snack offered to those registered for the workshops + presentation of “cozy crime” and fantasy novels open to all.
-Everything will be interspersed with readings during the workshops and the small sofa area will be open to people who want to spend some time knitting, embroidering or crocheting in good company.
