Last Friday, the author of the book “From Shadow to Light” was at the Bellevue media library where she presented and signed her work. With emotion and great sincerity she spoke of the reasons for this writing which retraces what she experienced with a man in whom she believed to have found happiness. Unfortunately, for 8 years she experienced hell, torn between shame, the feeling of guilt and the desire to keep up appearances. One day, her little boy, aged 2 and a half, said to her, “Mom, we're both going to leave.” This is the trigger that opens the door to freedom. She created and became president of the association “Une Autre Femme” whose mission is to fight against psychological, physical or sexual intra-family violence. Today, with her child, she is little by little rediscovering the joy of living, cheerfulness, a smile, she is simply living.
In order to put one of the most important struggles of our time into images, Alexandra Lamy directed the TV film “Touchées”. Projected on the Ventura screen at 8:30 p.m., this TV film relates the meeting of three women victims of violence, played by talented actresses like Mélanie Doutey, Chloé Jouannet, Claudia Tagbo and many others and who meet during a fencing therapy workshop. After the screening, spectators had the opportunity to talk with the author of the book.
Two very successful actions, organized by the CCAS and the Social Commission of the Saint-Geniès-Bellevue town hall with the participation of the Bellevue Media Library and the Le Ventura cinema.
