Elisabeth Bassani, head of the Cahors branch and vice-president of the Lot Red Cross, surrounded by her team, welcomed the volunteers during the gala evening to thank them for their involvement throughout the year. She stressed that around thirty new volunteers had joined the Red Cross to strengthen the team. “We are rich in these people who give us their time. They all have different backgrounds and thanks to this good will, we can intervene on two axes: emergency with first aid and marauding, and social action with personalized welcome in a place conducive to listening. It is a place where we can help with administrative procedures. An emergency basket, prepared meals from Cahors hospital surplus or a clothing voucher can be offered if necessary. » Maryse, referent of the second-hand store, congratulated all the volunteers who work to sort the clothes from donations and offer them at solidarity prices at the store located at 28 rue Maréchal Foch. In 2024, the Red Cross and volunteering were presented in several schools in Cahors, Le Montat, Luzech, Saint-Céré, and Lacapelle-Marival. Following these meetings, many interns came to lend a hand.
