Like every year in February, Gallimard Jeunesse organizes Harry Potter Book Night. The 2025 edition will be held from February 6 to 9, offering fans the opportunity to rediscover the world of books over a weekend, in 380 bookstores in France and Belgium.
Theme: Magical Creatures
After visiting the different magical places in 2024, this year the theme of the event will be magical creatures. Get ready to brush up on your Care of Magical Creatures lessons: hippogriffs, kelpies, thestrals and many other creatures could well cross your path!
The map of partner bookstores is available on the Gallimard Jeunesse website, where you can also download a game and magical activity kit specially designed for the occasion. Everything is beautifully illustrated by MinaLima, Jim Kay, Pham Quang Phuc, Neil Packer and Tomislav Tomić.
A big tournament to win a trip to London
The publisher also provides a quiz to booksellers who have requested it to organize the Harry Potter Book Night Grand Tournament. Each bookstore will be able to win two copies of Quidditch Through the Ages. To participate in the grand final, the publisher will choose 20 bookstores based on their file (decorations, animations, participants’ costumes, etc.). The two winners of the quiz organized in these bookstores, as well as the bookstore itself, will be invited to Paris on June 21 to participate in this grand final. This will take the form of a new quiz made up of 30 questions. At the end of this event, the victorious team will win, for each of its members, a trip to London for two people, accompanied by two entries for the Harry Potter Studio Tour.
