For more than 30 years, Marc Geiger, lawyer at the Carpentras bar specializing in the defense of victims, has supported families faced with the painful disappearance of a loved one following a criminal act. They, often helpless in the face of the complex workings of justice, find in him a guide and support.
After ‘Le crime et l’enfant’ published by Sydney Laurent, the man who was notably President of the Carpentras Bar Association in 2014 and 2015 returns with a new work: ‘Les survivors’ by Mareuil Editions. He, who appears in the show It begins today on France 2 alongside Faustine Bollaert, relates here 11 cases in which he defended them, 11 trials at the Assises which he makes us experience from the inside in all their intensity: preliminary investigation and instruction, then the trials themselves – organization of hearings, expert opinions, testimonies, depositions, twists and turns…, not hesitating to deliver his questions as well as his ardent pleadings.
