Two beauty queens were gathered on the plateau C the weekly : Angélique Angarni-Filopon, Miss 2025 and Èves Gilles, Miss France 2024. The theme of the show? “2025 is their year!”a great way to highlight these two young women who shake up codes and stereotypes.

Indeed, two misses with short hairit revolutionizes the world of beauty contests a little. Unfortunately, these developments do not please everyone, especially on social networks. Angélique Angarni-Filopon was flooded with hateful messages. She chose to respond to these transphobic rumors.

Angélique Angarni-Filopon responds to haters

As Aurélie Casse so rightly says: “you are both pioneers”. Indeed, Èves Gilles is the first Miss France with short hair. Aurélie Casse has also compared her to Emma Stone who has the same haircut as her. And, for Angélique Angarni-Filopon, she also displays a short haircut, but that’s not all. This is the first Miss France aged 34 to wear the crown. Two particularities that pushed haters to write hate messages?

One thing is certain, Miss France 2025 is not afraid to denounce this trivialized discrimination and calls for more kindness. Here’s what she explained on set: “on a too much tendency to trivialize comments like this and it’s something very negative in a person to think that it’s normal to write things like that. Looking like a trans person is not negative. There are people who suffer from this transphobia. And I find it mean, unfortunate and stupid that it comes from a woman. We must support each other, there must be more sorority on networks and in real life. So yes, I respond from time to time.”

Faced with this Internet user who compared her to a trans, the Miss did not want to stay silent and she responded in writing on Instagram: “It had to come from a woman? Didn’t you want to say something else more constructive? It’s a shame though…”

Miss France, an easy target?

Alongside Angélique Angarni-Filopon, Èves Gilles also subit les haters on social networks. She recalled that it is the sad consequence of the coronation. Every year, the Miss will be attacked and criticized for something. Detractors will always find an element to try to destabilize the new Miss. Next year it might be because of a hair color or a height.

But the Misses are not just beauty queens, they also have strong personalities and character. The proof with these two young women who are a great source of inspiration and which prove that each singularity in its place.
