As part of the “The World on a Wire” cycle, the Public Information Library is organizing a meeting around Books and the democratization of literary criticism.
With the Internet and social networks, literary criticism is no longer the prerogative of experts and journalists active in traditional media, but has become accessible to the greatest number of people. If this democratization is positive, it nevertheless transforms the way in which books are presented in the public space.
How are literary influencers renewing the terms of recommendation? Should we fear the growing hybridization between media content and commercial messages?
