The Pierres book fair highlights local authors

For its seventh edition, Livrencontres, a book fair which will be held on February 2 in Pierres, near Maintenon, has decided to honor two local writers.

The first, Olivier Cojan, is known for his historical sagas, such as The Land Where Dreams Go to Die, or, more recently, A Certain Taste of Algiers or Those in the starsreleased in 2024 by Ella editions.

The second is a recognized historian whose work is disseminated well beyond the Eurelian territory. One of his books, The true novel of the priest of Châtenaywas notably the subject of a broadcast on the successful Inter podcast, Sensitive matters.

His latest work was published at the end of last year and its title indicates its unusual subject: Honeymoon. Thanks to copious archives, it relates the journey through France of a bourgeois couple from Courvillo in the 1850s. A singular theme, which Alain Denizet approaches with his usual passion and attention to detail.
