On Tuesday July 5, 2022, the municipality of Trégarantec inaugurated a book box installed on Place François-Morvan. This initiative allowed everyone to freely deposit or borrow – novels, children's albums, comics, etc. However, like so many other infrastructures, this book box had been swept away by storm Ciaran. For several months, reading enthusiasts were deprived of this place of sharing, which offered much more than books. There were also DVDs, board games, seeds to sow, the municipal bulletin, and other little surprises.

“Let’s give new life to the book box”

A year later, the town finally found its book box on Place François-Morvan, ready to come back to life. The concept remains unchanged: everyone can place objects they no longer use there and find what interests them. Through this principle of sharing, the initiative offers a second life to objects and strengthens social ties within the municipality.

This resurrection is the fruit of the work of Valentin Toudic and his grandfather, who created this new book box with care and generosity. She is just waiting for her first donors to continue her adventure and warm the hearts of the inhabitants of Trégarantec. “The municipality invites all residents to rediscover this unique place of sharing and to contribute to its success. Together, let’s give new life to the Trégarantec book box! », Announces the mayor, Yann Toudic.
