Patrick Arnaudin is from Préchac. He currently lives in Johannesburg because his wife is a French teacher there. A former teacher and school principal, he is retired. Both will return to Préchac for the end of year celebrations.

Until December 21, he will dedicate his book, “1924-2024, 100 years of USP in red and white”, in Préchac, at the Le Ciron tobacconist, at the Proxi supermarket and also at the Super U in Bazas. This book is published by Claire Lorrain Éditions and Michaël Blauwart, himself a Bazadais writer.

“They say that sport brings people together. In Préchac, football did more. He united. He sealed lifelong friendships. He mixed genres. People ! Is it just football? Isn’t that rather the USP? The Préchacaise Sports Union. The village’s essential football club. For decades, football has been at the heart of residents’ concerns and Sunday activity. How was the club of this village lost in the moor able to resist big armadas? How was the fortress of the Peasant Stadium almost impregnable? It is in this unique sporting venue with a deep soul that the anecdotes of the Union Sportive Préchacaise were mainly collected. In the middle of a crowd of funny and original individuals. It is the wonderful human adventure of an atypical football club that is told to you here. Get ready to work on your flexibility. You will twist…Laughing! »
