I had the opportunity to meet him at his agency and at Cannes Lions, this creative director is as calm and analytical as ever. He knows the brands, he has followed all the technical and technological developments and he has always kept the same interest: putting humanity into a message which is, in essence, intended to be transactional… not to say commercial.
Far from the flashy image of a Séguéla, he who is considered one of the ten best advertisers of the moment, took up his pen to write a book which reveals the mechanisms of everything that has captured him over the last 30 years,
In a set of short texts, both deep and offbeat, Rémi Babinet draws the contours of a universal story and its issues, in a world where the use of images and words is constantly being disrupted by creative people. Far from only addressing advertisers, No Advertising Thanks echoes all memories, and gives a behind-the-scenes look at the slogans and images that have shaped the common imagination. The essential and indispensable work for all creative libraries.
