At the end of the year, theInspector Henrik Hansen returns in a new investigationsigned by the author Anne Houivet. This fifth book in the seriestitled The Promisepromises to captivate readers with a new adventure full of mysteries.

An essential character

Anne Houivet has always had the desire to writea passion which she inherited from her father, Alexandre, who wrote for newspapers.

After her retirement, Anne did not hesitate to pick up her pen again, writing down her ideas on pieces of paper. This is how his first detective book, mixing intrigue and human emotions.

A mysterious investigation

For this fifth work, the plot takes place in the Swiss mountains before returning to the region of Cotentinmore precisely in Omonville-la-Rogue (Manche).

I wanted to change my environment. I love the mountains with their legends and children's rhymes. And Omonville-la-Rogue is one of the most beautiful villages in La Hague.

The story begins with a mountain couple who assemble pieces of paper carried by the wind, a mysterious element that launches the plot. Inspector Hansen, in Switzerland to find a missing hiker, quickly makes the connection with Omonville-la-Rogue, the missing man's native village.

“He will appreciate the warm welcome given by the mountain people, who favor people rather than the Internet,” explains Anne Houivet. This new aspect of the investigation will lead Hansen to discover that the key to the enigma could be hidden in this coastal village in North Cotentin.

Dedications to come

The book The Promise was printed by Imprimerie Lecuirot in Gavray and is available at the price of €15. It can be found in the Maisons de la Presse, notably in Valognes, The Hague, Cherbourg and Granville, where Anne is from. “Sessions of dedications will be scheduled for the beginning of spring,” concludes Anne Houivet.
