The writer Yves Desmazes has chosen to focus his 20th novel, In search of immortality, on the future Montpellier Cambacérès district, which takes the name of Jean-Jacques-Régis de Cambacérès. A 19th century statesman who was notably second consul of France alongside Napoleon Bonaparte. “He is a choice subject to discover the historical wealth of the region.
