The Jacques-Prévert municipal library received Caroline Courtois on June 15.

She presented “Mystères et Boules de cristal” her third novel which is set in Casteldaure, an imaginary village in Lot-et-Garonne. “Even small villages are not immune to dark and disturbing events.”

The heroine, named Camille, arrives there and following a misunderstanding assumes the identity of another person; she thus finds herself involved in a strange affair against a backdrop of murder and treasure hunting.

A Cozy Mystery novel that will delight fans of the style and pleasantly surprise those who discover it by reading this book. A style that immediately caught the attention of Véronique Alberti, in charge of culture and the steering committee of Polar’Encontre.

The event, which has undertaken to take an increasing interest in young readers, will find in Caroline Courtois an author who is entirely in line with its objectives, since she is addressing young teenagers with this novel, and perhaps her fifth work which is currently in development.

Reminder: June 26th marks the start of the Reading Rally for children aged 6 to 11; it takes place throughout the summer school holidays. From July 8th to August 31st, discover or rediscover the authors of the very first detective novels, those who imagined the adventures of Arsène Lupin, Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot, etc.
