More than 350 people flocked to the first book fair organized by the municipality. Agnès du Lac, delegated advisor for culture, did not hide her satisfaction at the end of the day: “I am proud of this result. The sponsor of the show, Benoît Séverac, through his confidence, allowed me to bring this to fruition this project, also carried out with passion by the participating associations and volunteers. A big thank you to Lydie, our bookseller at Bois Jaune, an essential partner who ensured the availability of all the works presented by the authors. demonstration, it was necessary, for some, to make new orders.
From the authors' side, it's a shower of praise which highlights the welcome, the organization, and the excellent cassoulet during the lunch break! More seriously, we saw Alain Monnier very moved while listening to the reading of one of his Books by the actress and musician Catherine Vaniscotte, and the authors participating in the round tables impressed by their host Myriam Beauchamp. Generally speaking, all of the activities were well received, with good attendance at the reading workshops. Also worth noting are the first steps of the associative café “Mokastruc”, and the curiosity aroused by the 17th century book restored and presented by the heritage association.
Let's leave the final words to the author Marie Cécile Fourès: “It was sweet, it was good, it was beautiful… I absolutely have to write another novel for the 2025 edition!”
