Nearly 4,000 copies sold

Remember that “Géronimo et moi”, published a year ago by Editions 10/18, received the Robin Cook Prize from the Polar, Vin et Compagnie festival last June. Already nearly 4,000 copies of “Géronimo et moi” have been sold. The novel tells the story of a young peasant girl from Aubrac sent as a servant to where she is sexually exploited. She participated in the Paris Commune, and had to flee to the USA. The young Aveyronnaise takes up the cause of the American Indians she meets, meeting Géronimo, a famous Apache chief.

With this great epic, Lilian Bathelot shines the spotlight on the end of the 19th century, addressing themes such as the condition of popular women, the birth of the feminist movement, the libertarian struggle and the struggle of American Indians dispossessed of their land .

“Dapper February”

For the end of 2024, “Géronimo et moi” has just been published in the Poche collection.
Other news for Lilian Bathelot: the publication of “Pimpant February” by Ours editions (40 pages; €5). This short story, recounting the tribulations of a trio of young robbers, won the Special Jury Prize and the Public Prize at the Vars festival. It is therefore now available in bookstores and on the Ours éditions website.
Lilian Bathelot will soon be signing at the Presse Bulle bookstore in Decazeville, the date has not been set.
