Nicolas Bouchereau, president of the Livresenfêtes72 association, explains: It's number 12e edition of Livres en fête but the second organized by the Livresenfêtes72 association, the Beaumont municipal library and the Georges-Rouault social center. We have been preparing this festival for nine months with a budget of €2,500. We operate thanks to the memberships of our members, but also thanks to a generous subsidy from the municipality of Beaumont, to the tune of €500. The municipality also provides us with the leisure and culture room free of charge. In addition, the entire municipal team and agents are accompanying us for this event. I really want to thank them. We also have local patrons: artisans, traders, individuals and a Belmont sports association. Thanks to all this, all festival activities are free except for the baby readers workshop financed by the Georges-Rouault social center.
Authors and dictations
Around thirty authors and five publishers will be present. All literary genres are presented. Thriller, science fiction, local history… Tom Horus, a 12-year-old author, will come and present his book on school bullying.
Family activities and conferences
The company This summer, and the Tétrofort company will present their shows to share with the family and Frédéric Payraudeau, famous Egyptologist who discovered the tomb of Ramses II, will give a conference on the gods of Egypt.
The dictations that we organize during this event are always very appreciated. This year, the adult dictation will be in tribute to Bernard Pivot. The youth dictation will have the particularity of being slammed by Léa Cerveau.
We are sharing this event with associations that need it. The Florence-Aubenas parents' association will manage the snacks on site throughout the day
concludes Nicolas Bouchereau.
