It's the meeting place for English-speaking fans of beautiful paper and mountain bike competition: World Stage and Hurly Burly 2024 have just been released. These two “yearbooks” retracing the enduro and downhill season compile the best stories and some of the most beautiful photos of the year.
Published by the indescribable Misspent Summers, these two books of respectively 260 (Hurly Burly – DH) and 244 (World Stage – Enduro) pages are showcases for a selection of the best photos of the season, the small and big stories of this sports year. If your English is a little rusty, this is a good reason to get back into it.
2024 was marked by a particularly competitive downhill season and a very first enduro world championship.
On the cover of Hurly Burly, we find the unmistakable Vali Höll and it is Jesse Melamed who is highlighted for World Stage. The magazines are sold for £24 each, or just under 29 euros. Without a doubt, this 2024 edition will join our collection, as a little piece of history of our sport, and as an excellent read to get through the winter.
How can we “move forward” like this? Because the Misspent Summers team is one of the passionate media that we particularly appreciate and whose work inspires us at Vojo. A few months ago, we dedicated an episode of “Trajectories” to James Mcknight. It can be found right here:
