The company sells a limited edition 208-page book covering 65 years of . The book is currently on pre-order.

An Apple product for 450 euros. This could almost be a good plan. Except that it's not a new iPhone or a Mac, but simply a book.

In fact, the company announced on X, ex-Twitter, via its Apple Music profile that it was going to release Apple Music: 100 Best Albumsa book on music, therefore, sold for the modest sum of 450 euros.

“A love letter to records”

A price which can be explained by its exclusivity. The luxury publisher, Assouline, thus mentions on its site a “limited edition of 1,500 copies”, each with a hand-printed number. On the agenda for these 208 pages?

A foreword by Zane Lowe, host of Apple Music 1 radio, illustrations and explanations on each of the 100 best albums of “all time” covering 65 years of music, according to the Apple Music rankings.

“Inside, readers will find the featured albums, selected by Apple Music's team of experts alongside an exclusive group of artists including Maren Morris, Pharrell Williams, J Balvin or Charli XCX,” specifies the editor.

“It’s a love letter to the records that shaped the world in which music lovers live and listen.”

On the program, Nevermind from Nirvana, Lemonade by Beyoncé or even Thriller by Michael Jackson. Each copy comes in a custom-designed translucent acrylic box engraved with the Apple Music logo. It is still possible to pre-order the book. It should ship around November 25.

This is not the first time that Apple has marketed a book. In 2016, the iPhone manufacturer released Designed by Appe in Californiadedicated to the design of its products.

The book, initially sold for 199 dollars, was resold on Ebay after the marketing of the book ceased in 2019. It is also possible to find it on Leboncoin, for the modest sum of 2,497 euros.
