Buzet-sur-Baïse. Buzet Book Fair: final preparations!

All members of the “Library and Culture for All” association are hard at work: in a few days, the Buzet multipurpose room (recently named the René Mayerus room) will open its doors for the eighth edition of the “Book Fair” . Forty authors will meet there to present their works and compete for the literary prize which will be awarded by the fair's reading committee. An event in which libraries from neighboring towns (Lavardac, Barbaste, Mézin) will participate as well as children from schools in Feugarolles, Vianne, Barbaste, Xaintrailles and of course Buzet. Because young people are never forgotten: a special “youth” prize is awarded at each show. This year, Didier Dominguez, children's author dedicated to the cause of children in difficulty, will be one of the guests of honor.

The other guest of honor will be the actor, singer, musician and director Grégori Baquet. He was a member of Roger Louret's troupe in the 90s. He won the Molière for male revelation in 2014 in the film “Un obus dans le coeur”, as well as a Molière in a theatrical show in 2018 and 2019.

Finally, the godfather of the 2024 show will be the writer Brian Bouillon-Baker who is none other than one of the twelve children adopted by the singer Joséphine Baker. He is the author of the book “Joséphine, l’universelle”.
