Denis Ledieu, president of the Lever de curtains association, organizes with his loyal volunteers passionate about culture the 3e edition of the Pluneret book fair (Morbihan), Grains de mots, Sunday November 10, 2024, in the village hall.

What does Curtain Up advocate?

This association, born in February 2022, is supported by people wishing to transmit culture in all its forms. The choice of name symbolizes the passing of a baton between generations. Our action was to build the first book fair in March 2022. We opted for a general fair. Our goals are numerous. The first is to develop the desire to read and enliven the community; the second, to listen to today's poets and authors, to encourage meetings and exchanges with the public and, finally, the third, to reach distant audiences and children.

Who have you chosen as your sponsor this year?

Daniel Cario will be our guest. The former professor of modern literature in , who lives in Riantec, lives in retirement mainly occupied by writing. He has to his credit more than fifty books in genres ranging from Breton culture to detective novels to thrillers. He is passionate about writing, reading and people. Daniel Cario is a logical godfather after Nono and Eugène Riguidel. It carries messages for the youngest and encourages reading and a variety of genres. He will be present to interact with visitors, but also present his latest works entitled An avid reader et The Passengers of Dawn.

How is Grains de mots written?

Around thirty authors will be present. We have chosen the largest possible edition. There is something for everyone, from children's literature to illustrations, from poems to detective novels, from short stories to caricatures. They come from the Great West and, among them, some local authors.

Two highlights are planned: the first will offer the tales of Nathalie Masquiller, story embroiderer; the second is a technical assemblage workshop with Giulia Deniau, which consists of fixing different materials on the same sheet to promote expression and emotions, through the recovery of small objects.

Sunday November 10, 2024, 3e edition of the Grains de mots book fair, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Pluneret village hall. FREE ENTRANCE.
