Ce Saturday November 9 he will be possible to delve behind the scenes of journalism and interact with writing and media professionals. The ESJ (Higher School of Journalism) of Lille is organizing its very first book fair, called the Journalivreand invites you to discover several worlds of journalism, such as the written press and long reports, but also fiction.
For this first edition, the century-old journalism school hits hard with a day punctuated by round tables which will take place in the amphitheater, here they are:
- 10:15 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. : the theme will be “When journalism takes the time“, to explore long-form reporting and understand how to tell stories in depth.
- 13h15-14h : you will find out more about the Albert-Londres Prize, which rewards each year the best great French-speaking reporters.
- 14h – 15h : “Why do journalists write fiction?”, a dive into the reasons that push certain journalists to go beyond reality.
- 3:15 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. : “Who do the stories belong to?”, reflection on rights, sources and appropriation of texts.
- 16h30 – 17h30 : “Crimes, justice and journalism”, to address the links between investigations and news items, and understand why it is of so much interest to journalists and readers.
In partnership with the Nice bookstore et the edgesit will also be the launch of One hundred years of journalism through the history of ESJ Lillea book edited by Flammarion which looks back on a century of articles, photos and significant reports in France. You can therefore obtain it on site.
