This signing session follows Dominique Meunier's exhibition “The Sense of the Sacred” which took place at the Chapelle du Séminaire last March, where a selection of texts by Michel Lagrange was also presented. The Diocesan Center of Besançon is pleased to invite you on Saturday November 9, between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., to the Passage 18 bookstore, to attend a presentation of the magnificent book Camera Obscura which has just been published. It brings together a selection of 42 poems by Michel Lagrange inspired by the paintings of Dominique Meunier, including those exhibited at the Chapelle du Séminaire last March.
A NEW BOOK: CAMERA OBSCURA
In this book, the painter Dominique Meunier and the poet Michel Lagrange have united their talents to create a poetic odyssey imbued with deep spirituality. Touched by the mysteries of friendship, they put the best of themselves, leaving room for the experience of the soul which crowns exchanges as inspiring as they are vital, an authentic path to progress in the world of 'Today.
This book is part of a beautiful and great poetic odyssey because Michel Lagrange, laureate of the French Academy, has published more than seventy works, some of which are bibliophile Books written in collaboration with artists like his friends Pierre Soulages , Bernard Foucher, Jean-Yves Trémois. He has been praised by renowned authors such as René Char, Marguerite Yourcenar, Pierre Emmanuel, Claude Vigée, Yves Bonnefoy, Léopold Sédar Senghor.
René Char wrote of Michel Lagrange: “Your poems have become more companionable to me every day by telling me more, although from their first reading, we were not playing here for the pleasure of falling into the water. I knew about you early, and like the arch-compass of the bridge in the watercolor of Sainte-Victoire (Cézanne), a fantastic appearance, an essential mark.
