On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the George-Sand media library from Cléon (Seine-Maritime), the booktuber Audrey Tribot comes to share his passion for literature with the Normans, the Wednesday November 13, 2024around a friendly workshop.

A lover of books

She counts 118,000 subscribers et 742 videos on Youtube: Audrey Tribot is not an influencer, but simply shares her passion for literature. She has devoured books since her childhood: “My mother read a lot of romansand my father BD . I grew up in this world,” underlines the booktuber from the region.

In high school, she chose a scientific path, but did not lose her love for literature. She creates a blogin April 2013: “I wanted to talk about books, to meet people who had the same passion as me. » The following year, she launched her YouTube channel The breath of words which enjoyed unexpected success. Audrey confides: “It was purely leisure in the beginning. The more the number of subscribers increased, the more I told myself that I could achieve certain goals. »

Having completed her baccalaureate, the young woman continued her studies and obtained a degree in modern literature and a master's degree in book marketing at Paris-Sorbonne University.

In Cléon, Audrey will host a meeting on Wednesday, November 13 at 10:30 a.m., followed by a workshop Make your YouTube videoat 2 p.m. Through these events, free and upon registration, Audrey wishes above all to make literature accessible and attractive for young adults. “There are books that talk about their stories and their questions,” she says.

The impact of social networks

By discussing books as captivating as series, Audrey seeks to reconnect young people to reading, showing them that there is much more to explore beyond the screens. She emphasizes: “It is less innate for new generations to grow up surrounded by books, because screens capture all their attention, in their daily lives. It is essential to find a balance. »

Thanks to its presence on the social networkslike TikTok and Instagram, it reaches a fairly large community, notably 15-30 ans. The booktuber regularly receives messages from young people who share their readings inspired by her channel, thus proving the impact of her work on their literary curiosity.

Although she does not know the Elbeuvian territory, Audrey is impatient to meet her audience in Cléon and share her passion. A passion which, from his childhood surrounded by books to today, proves that literature can create links and inspire everyone.

20 years is worth celebrating!

The George-Sand media library has planned a rich and varied program. On Tuesday, November 12, the opening of an exhibition on women in literature will kick off the festivities. On Saturday, November 15, a festive day awaits visitors, with shows, creative workshops, and even a musical birthday, not forgetting a shared snack at 5 p.m.!
