Since its release, the new animated film from DreamWorks studios has been a real success. And his last scene suggests that a sequel is in the works. If nothing has yet been confirmed, Peter Brown, the author of the novels The Wild Robothas his own idea on the subject.
With a total of 1.2 million admissions in France, The Wild Robot achieved one of the best scores at the French box office since its arrival on our screens. A little animation nugget from the DreamWorks Animation studios, the feature film directed by Chris Sanders is inspired by a series of novels by Peter Brown, which includes three volumes in total, the first of which has just been put into images. Could the next ones follow? If the director of the film spoke on this subject, explaining that he would love to make Roz's adventures last, he is obviously not the only one: Peter Brown is also up for it, he said to ComingSoon on Tuesday October 29.
Asked by the media about the rumors which already lend to Robot Sauvage a sequel, the writer was delighted with the success that the adaptation of his novel is meeting, adding that if nothing is yet official, “We hope there will be at least one sequel.” He then revealed that Chris Sanders and Jeff Hermann, producer of the feature film, “read and loved” the second volume of the series, which for him does not form “one and the same story” with the first opus. “So I think they're really hoping to get the green light to do it. But we'll see, we'll see. I don't know what it is.” And to conclude: “I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I'm cautiously optimistic that there will be a sequel, and I know a lot of us hope so.”
