Sustained by the team of volunteers around Patricia, the book fair takes place twice a year in the premises of the priory transformed into a cultural space.

The first takes place in June and this year, under a beautiful sun finally returning, the facilities have varied somewhat offering the bargain hunter the opportunity to travel to find what they are looking for in three different places. Arriving through the park, preceded by rural floral arrangements, the old monks’ kitchen, with whitewashed vaults, housed treasures of books with beautiful covers, beautiful titles on history, sports, art, cooking , DIY, adult comics. Early this Saturday morning, Nadine, a volunteer, was welcomed and sold at low prices works that had been lying dormant for a long time. The collector was not mistaken! A few steps aside, in a more concentrated space, Eveline and Liliane, all smiles, were informing parents in the children’s section. A little girl, very interested, seemed not to need her mother to make her choice. Beautiful children’s books offered their attractive covers to young people, at unbeatable prices.

Upstairs, the world of novels and thrillers, governed by Patricia, the manager, cannot change its presentation morphology in the long room where hundreds of books are exhibited. Patricia, welcomes, explains, encourages you to buy the number of books that allows you to have one free. Prices are consistent and low. At the back, in the corner, thrillers are teeming, with sometimes chilling titles but softened by the subdued light from the window. The good weather having persisted on Sunday, there is no doubt that the book fair made happy among the bargain hunters but also among the dedicated volunteers who came one after the other to welcome them.
