From June 3 to 8, the seventh edition of the youth book fair will take place in the Montmirail village hall. For a week, various activities and literary encounters will enliven the small town of character.

From Monday June 3 to Saturday June 8, the association is organizing the 7e edition of the trade show festival children’s book. The theme chosen this year is the praise of gentleness.

In total, 1,000 books were ordered from the Coin de Châteaudun bookstore (28), in partnership with the Montmirail town hall, Sarthe lecture and Crédit Agricole. The objective is to present a variety of literary genres to young audiences and arouse their curiosity. The works offered are little known and allow us to discover new authors.adds Jocelyne Caget, president of the association.

Baby entertainment

Thus, throughout the week, activities will be offered. This show is aimed at toddlers, including a baby reader activity in partnership with the Montmirail library, dedicated to children aged one to three. For older children there will be a philosophy snack which will be hosted by Catherine Copleutre. For older children, Ludovic Lecomte, author of children’s literature, will speak in the schools of Melleray and Montmirail »explains the president.

The end of this exceptional opportunity to celebrate literature, creativity and cultural richness with an intergenerational audience will be marked by the dedication of novels by Élyzabeth Forgo and books by Serge Bertin, well known for his attachment to the Sarthois dialect.
