In Quintin, the “Donate to read” operation offers books to children who lack them

Like 22 other libraries in Côtes-d’Armor, the Le Marque Page bookstore in Quintin is once again joining forces with the Secours populaire committee to participate in the ninth edition of the “Donate to read” operation. Through this operation, from October 16, bookstore customers are invited to add a children’s book to their own purchases, “a gesture of solidarity so that reading is accessible to all”.

Bookseller Claire Bangert adds that “through Secours populaire, these will then be offered to a child or teenager who has none, or too few”.

In the sack of Green Santa Claus from Secours populaire

Last year, 106 books were collected and 84 in 2022. The challenge is set to do even better. The books will be given to children in December by Green Santa Claus from Secours populaire. As for second-hand books that readers wish to offer to benefit other readers, it is possible to hand them over directly to Secours populaire, 3 rue des Douves, the “Donate to read” operation only concerns new books. .
