There Italian Gallery from Turin presents Cristina Mittermeier: A Greater Wisdom.
This is the first retrospective in Europe dedicated to the journalist, activist and marine biologist Cristina Mittermeier, which will run until September 1, 2024.
This retrospective, produced in collaboration with The National Geographic, presents more than 90 photographs by Mittermeier, many of which are being exhibited for the first time in Europe. These images capture the relationship between human cultures and biodiversity, reflecting Mittermeier’s dedication to conservation and cultural awareness.
A committed pioneer of the concept and field of photography for nature conservation, Mittermeier has dedicated her entire life to protecting the world’s oceans and in 2014 co-founded the non-profit organization SeaLegacy. Recognized as one of National Geographic’s 2018 Adventurers of the Year, alongside her partner Paul Nicklen, Mittermeier has worked in more than 100 countries on every continent around the world, fully aware that her camera could have a greater impact important not only to how humans see. the world, but also on the way they connect to it.
