A new page is turning in the history of Féret publishing. Created in 1812, the oldest publishing house in Bordeaux, or even in (Louis Hachette founded his in 1830, for example), was taken over in early February 2024 by Julien Parrou-Duboscq, president of Héméra. The information was just made official this Tuesday, September 17 during a press conference.
The 51-year-old Bordeaux businessman – founder of Concoursmania, which became Actiplay, then Klarsen – takes the reins from Stéphane Zittoun, head of the digital marketing solutions publisher NP6. The latter himself succeeded Marc Faujanet in 2019, a former skater and entrepreneur of the Opéra pastries, who had tried to resuscitate the Féret bookstore on Place de la Comédie, the initial format of the historic editions, in vain.
