Actress Elena Nagapetyan, who is starring in her show entitled “Ça valait le coup”, is preparing to tread the boards of several venues in Belgium in the coming weeks.

Born in Uzbekistan to Armenian parents, Elena Nagapetyan lived in Russia before settling in France. Her show, based on her own experiences, addresses themes such as pregnancy, divorce, and life as a mother, all told with humor and self-mockery.

“I didn’t plan anything, it just happened”confides the comedian, explaining his meteoric rise in the world of stand-up, thanks to his videos posted on social networks.

In her show “Ça valait le coup”, the comedian addresses personal topics such as pregnancy, divorce and her life as a mother. She explains:“This is my story, this is my journey, this is the story of how I arrived from Russia to France, how I learned this language which is not entirely easy, how I got married, how I got divorced, I had a child,…”.

Speaking about her past in Russia, Elena Nagapetyan emphasizes that she keeps in touch with her family, as well as the education of her country: “I kept my mother tongue and I kept the culinary preferences. I kept the way of saying things as I think them, because that’s typically what comes from us.”.

To conclude, the comedian explains that the title of his show perfectly sums up his career: “It was worth leaving my native country, coming to France when I didn’t know anyone and didn’t speak French. It was worth getting a divorce, it was worth having a child. And it was worth starting comedy.”.
