And it is that, as he advanced The Voice of Ibiza Last Friday, acting on information from the TEF, the Civil Guard arrested a criminal group that had been carrying out robberies in luxury villas for the past five years.
Thus, the Civil Guard has arrested three peopletwo men and a woman, members of a criminal gang specialized in robberies in inhabited luxury homes on the island of Ibiza during the summer. They are credited with the authorship of at least 22 crimes with a total value of the stolen goods exceeding 548.500 euros.
The attackers, always dressed in black and with their faces covered, took advantage of the night to enter the homes while the residents were sleeping.
Sleeping gas
In several cases, victims reported symptoms of dizziness and malaise upon awakening, as vomiting and dizzinesssuggesting that the criminals may have used some kind of sleeping gas to facilitate theft.
Stolen Vehicles
The investigation of the Ibiza Judicial Police team allowed the authors’ home to be located thanks to the tracking of several vehicles that were used to commit the robberieswhich had also been stolen previously.
This week, the Civil Guard searched the suspects’ home, finding inside multiple objects related to theft, such as High-end watches, sunglasses, jewelry, brand name handbags, cell phones and cash.
In addition, the agents also found the clothing that the criminals used during the robberies.
After the arrest, Two of those arrested were sent to prison by the judicial authorityIt is estimated that this gang has been operating on the island since 2019.
