“Travel bans are not the priority, there are more urgent matters…”

Speaking during the examination of Bill No. 03/2024 relating to the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH), the parliamentarian of the Yewwi coalition Askan Wi spoke about the ban on dignitaries of the Macky Sall regime leaving the national territory. “People are stuck at the airport, we are talking about it. There are worse things than that and we are not talking about it. There are citizens killed, no one is talking about it. Accountability will indeed take place. I suggest that you respect the rights of those arrested and if they are guilty, let them return every last cent,” he suggested as part of the accountability initiated by the regime in place.

However, he wants to clarify and reassure the Senegalese and his parliamentary colleagues on the respect of the laws and rights of the Senegalese. “This wind of change will indeed take place. We have always fought injustice. The day President Diomaye Faye flouts rights and laws, I will express my disagreement,” reassures the parliamentarian of the Yewwi group Askan Wi.
