DAZN hits hard with a promotional offer starting Tuesday

Relief in sight for Ligue 1 fans? Heavily criticized for the price of its Ligue 1 subscription, the British streaming platform DAZN will launch a promotion on Tuesday, September 10, valid until September 22, by lowering the price of its annual subscription from 29.99 to 19.99 euros per month, the boss of DAZN France announced to AFP. “We are going to launch a promotion around our offers, valid from September 10 to September 22. Regarding the monthly offer (without commitment, Editor’s note) which is 39.99 euros, the first two months will be 19.99 euros. So 50% off on the first two months,” initially announced Brice Daumin, CEO of DAZN France.

He added that the platform would “make an exceptional promotion on the annual offer which is currently 29.99 euros (per month), which will be 19.99 euros over 12 months,” said Brice Daumin, CEO of DAZN France. The British platform acquired the TV broadcasting rights for eight L1 matches per day at the beginning of July for an average of 400 million euros per season. “The first three days (of the French Ligue 1 championship, Editor’s note) were crucial for us. We had zero bugs. We are happy with this start. The feedback from the clubs is positive. A first step has been taken. Now, it is important to build over time, learn lessons and develop the product,” he added.
