The management control commission (CCG) of the French basketball federation (FFBB), which met on December 11, 12 and 13, 2024 in order to rule on sixteen procedures opened against clubs participating in the FFBB championships, has rendered its decisions, Friday January 10.
In Nationale 1 masculineseveral clubs are sanctioned: US Avignon Le pontet basketball, Berck rang du Fliers basketball, Besancon Avenir Comtois, SOM Boulogne-sur-mer, Forez Feurs-Rozier, Pays de Fougères basketball, Les Sables Vendée basketball, Stade Toulousain basketball ball and Aurore Vitré basketball Brittany.
Pour Country of Fougères basketballthe FFBB announces two “grievances”: “presentation of a negative net situation for a club moving into a higher division” and “production of documents that are incomplete, or unreliable, or do not present the reality of the financial situation of the club”.
The federation has decided to “withdraw 5 points from the ranking of phases 1 and 2 of the 2024/25 NM1 championship” and “financial penalty of €2,000 for producing incomplete or unreliable documents, or not presenting the reality of the situation financial situation of the club and presentation of a negative net situation for a club moving into a higher division.
Ten days to appeal
For theAurora of Vitréthe commission raises several points: “exceeding the supervision of personnel costs for the 2023/24 season, non-compliance with the validated budget for the 2023/24 season, non-compliance with the obligation to constitute the reserve fund for the 2023/24 season, production of incomplete or unreliable documents, or which do not present the reality of the club’s financial situation.
The FFBB decided on a “financial penalty of €2,000 for exceeding the personnel costs framework for the 2023/24 season”, the “withdrawal of 1 point in the ranking of phases 1 and 2 of the 2024/25 NM1 championship”, and the “blocking of personnel costs 2024/25 at the amount of the human resources table for non-compliance with the validated budget 2023/24, non-compliance with the funds obligation reserve for the 2023/24 season and the production of documents that are incomplete, or unreliable, or do not present the reality of the club’s financial situation.
Clubs can appeal to the call room against the decisions of the management control commission, within a period of ten days working days from the date of receipt of the decision.
