FINCA DRC, microfinance institution operating in the DRC, recorded more than $ 100 million in credit portfolio in 2024. The announcement was made by the director general, Mirela Pekmezi, during a press conference organized on April 30, 2025 in Kinshasa.
According to the data presented, the institution closed the year with a credit portfolio amounting to USD 104.5 million, despite a difficult economic context. In total, FINCA RDC had 331,260 customers across the country in 2024, of which 72,855 benefited from funding.
Beyond this credit growth, the institution has also recorded several positive financial indicators for the past year: a net profit of 16 billion Congolese francs (approximately 5.6 million USD), nearly 3.3 million USD paid to the tax and taxes, a total assessment reaching 347 billion Congolese francs, the equivalent of 122 million USD. USD 22.5 million, USD 76 million customer deposits, and the full reimbursement of a subordinate borrowing of more than 8 million USD from KFW, a German financial institution for development.
