For their last at home, the Brestoises de l’ESL Volley received Vannes. Overwhelmed by power and disadvantaged in the size ratio, the locals bowed 3-1. After two sets widely dominated by the visitors, the ESL started a rise by winning the third round and offered a fourth disputed set. In vain, the Vannetaises concluded the case.
“A real progression”
What tarnish the particularly successful season of those who finish 4th in the N3 championship a bit. “We see a real progression since the beginning of the year in the sense of a project over 2-3 years, but it will be necessary to do more to beat this kind of teams,” said Paul Sohier, after this defeat.
The Brest coach underlined the very positive assessment of his team: “We were aiming for the maintenance. The girls have progressed individually and collectively. I think that now the teams are not serene when they come to play with us ”. Insured to finish 4th, the Brestoises have proven that they could be regular and that they have enough to ambition more next season. Paul Sohier hopes for the arrival “of one or two players to bring in attack”, in order to complete a workforce which should remain the same.
