Parents, friends and colleagues of Cécile Kohler, accompanied by the former hostages Benjamin Brière and Bernard Phelan, trained a human protest channel in front of the Iranian Embassy in Paris this Tuesday evening, to ask for the liberation of Cécile Kohler and Jacques Paris. On the eve of the third anniversary of the arrest of the two hostages, detained in Iran since May 7, 2022, the family of Cécile Kohler, accompanied by friends and colleagues of the teacher, as well as two former French hostages in Iran, Bernard Phelan and Benjamin Brière, improvised a human chain of protest in front of the premises of the Iran Embassy in Paris. The fist raised, the members of the group also lengthened on the roadway as a sign of protest to the detention of Cécile Kohler and Jacques Paris.
This action took place in the wake of an interview with the Minister of National Education, Élisabeth Borne, this Tuesday at the beginning of the evening. The parents of Cécile, Pascal and Mireille Kohler, her sister Noémie and her colleague and friend, a sawn Marine, had already met Élisabeth Borne, then Prime Minister, in Strasbourg, on November 20, 2022, the day of the creation of the Liberté support committee for Cécile.

The Minister of National Education reaffirmed the support of the institution in Cécile, teacher of modern letters at the Les Stones Vives de Carrières-sur-Seine. The photos of Cécile and Jacques will be affixed to the gates of the Ministry of National Education, this Wednesday, as well as on the facade of the Rectorate of Versailles.
Support gatherings are planned in nearly 50 cities in France this Wednesday, May 7. In Alsace, they will take place in front of the town hall of Colmar at 12:30 p.m.; Place du Marché-aux-Choux in Sélestat at 5 p.m.; Place Kléber in Strasbourg and in front of the town hall of Cernay at 6 p.m. and, finally, Place de la Réunion in Mulhouse at 6:30 p.m.
